Aftermarket electric sender?

I have my GN and my 323 GTX that have VDO and Sunpro gauge installed, can swap out only the gauge without taking the sender out?
Everything is electric, my thinking is they should be ''similar'' and they give a reading no mather the gauge, no?

Nick, if the gauges are the same make, you should be ok. If not, then you gotta try and see what happens...:redface:
