Bought a BRF trans out of a GN that got swapped out for a built one. Has an aftermarket (maybe?) converter from Precision of New Hampton.

Its a D5 core. Is this just a factory rebuild? I looked on their website and dont see anything if its a stall or anything.

Thanks!

Probably performs similar to a stock d5. Years ago I ordered one from them, above the high stall they offered a "street stall" and for a surcharge they offered to "max out" a street stall. So I have a d5 from them that's a 4840DSSMX. Which performs like most other restalled d5s, can get 2800 on the footbrake with effort. It was like $150 with no core (wholesale price). Shop I worked at used their converters exclusively after the famous Dacco "labor problems" in the late 90s.

Seems the famous Dacco issues are still around. My trans guy, Sid Neal, won't warranty his trans builds if a Dacco is used.
