Found an add on craigslist and already talked to the seller. Seems like a a standup guy and very knowledgeable. Just want to make sure it's a good deal before I hand over the cash. He's asking 1900 for:
Motor has 164K, doesn't smoke or consume oil. Regularly maintained (every 3K miles) with M1 10W30
100 lb valve springs
Stainless oversized swirl polished valves (int/exh)
Hemco race plenum
Stock Throttlebody
60lb/hr injectors
Stock headers (no cracks)
Mild P&P on heads - polished combustion chambers
No EGR function
Stock coil pack
160 thermostat
ECM with chip for injectors and turbo
GT6131e standard bearing turbo (less than 5000 miles on it, works perfectly)
Stock Location intercooler with Dutweiller neck modification
no downpipe
Again, seems like a trustworthy guy who has already offered to help me get the motor fired up. I haven't seen it run as he has been parting the car out since a front end wreck that bent the frame some time ago. The motor wasn't damage but the again I haven't seen it run. Any thoughts are greatly appreciated, thank you.
