At over 100,000 miles I was thinking about switching to royal purple as I am running it in all my other vehicles.... just wondering if any leaks would develop

Here is what you do. Try it and use 20/50 weight . My engine is very happy with this oil.I have no leaks but I believe my seals were upgraded when the original owner rebuilt the engine. Having said that; if it leaks try the Lucas stabilzer with the Royal Purple.
I had over 150k when I switched to synthetic, oil leaks don't seem to be any worse than before
. I had the oil pan gasket and rear main replaced about 20k miles ago, it's not leaking from there, but around the oil cooler adapter lines and the return oil line off the turbo. Sounds like a good idea to try it with a heavier weight.
