A/C Evap core different for a TR than any other G-body?

Ok, putting a friend's 87 GN back together and the evap core is junk. Called around and found a new replacement but it is one row too big to fit in the GN's A/C box. Take it back to the store and they look up in the puter that all 84-87 G-bodies including GN's had the same evap core... Now what?

verified, car-part.com shows the TR to be different than any other G-body, probably due to clearance for the downpipe.

Let me check around here and see if I can get ahold of a new one first and if not I might have to resort to a used one, depending on what the owner wants to do. Where are you located, how much do you want and how fast do you think you could get it to Davenport, Iowa? Let me know but I need to see if I can get a new one before the weekend, if not I will get back to you, thanks.
