Try this # for a NEW unit.. not a reman.. 15-20227 or GM # 88964869

Go to Redirecting and check the # if you want.. if this link does not work.

I've replaced two of them and the AC shop didn't seem to have a problem finding them.

Just looked upi the GM part number and they list 1131816 in my old book ... so the e-bay one might be listed in correct ??

The ebay unit is for a V-BELT set up. Its clearly visible in the pic.

Different listed compressors.. often are different due to Remanufactured statis.. but not every listing will tell you this... and look out for the core charge... & old compressor stock. As an example referenced below for the V6 3.8lt 89 TA... & YES it has a serpentine belt NOT the V belt.. and its sometimes the case compressor is the same BUT the hose connection seals different or Metric/Imperial or front shaft lengths etc... but the housing in a general picture might look the same at first glance.
But they are a common compressor.. Personally I tend to stick to the NEW unit rather then somebodies "rebuild", the new one looks factory new and not covered all over in a grubby thick coat of black paint like the remans are.

Listed are:
15-20227 GM# 88964869 which is a brand NEW unit.
These cost me Rtl 472.97 Cost: 166.25 No Core
15-20292 GM# 52499824 which is a remanufactured unit
These cost me Rtl 398.96 Cost: 140.23 CORE: 15.50
15-20277 GM# 52499809 which is a remanufactured unit
These cost me Rtl 312.35 Cost: 109.79 Core: 15.50

There is another listed # 15-21638 which again is a new unit.. I can't say right now why its listed but its mentioned, similiar cost to the 15-20227 NEW GM unit.. (don't missread the two similiar #'s 15-20227 NEW & 15-20277 Reman)

TTA1077.. if you decide to get a new one and not getting a decent price, let me know and I'll try and help you but need to know later this week so it can happen. I only offer this to HELP.. nothing else.

Sent you a pm. You guys are:confused: the hell out of me and the parts guy, to many #'s for one part! That's why I liked Jans idea of coming up with a list as a sticky. My local Nu-way auto ha an Ac Delco for $150, listed for a GN, didn't say if it was a reman?

compressors

.. if your guys can do one for $150 that is excellent.. but its gotta be a reman.. find out .. the price I showed you is WD wholesale. GM Parts Direct.com's price is probably about as cheap as the retail/trade would get it if you use their comparison etc.
Don't know which GN they were referencing do you??
