I can't decide.

M3 has 58k miles, stock. Super clean.

GTO has 33k miles, mostly stock. Has wheels, long tubes, no cats, 05/06 brake upgrade and a short shifter.

Upside of the GTO: parts cost less, newer.

Upside of the M3: won't want to make it go fast, it will stay stock.

I'd do the GTO, if it was an E46 M3, that'd be a more difficult choice.
GTO=parts less, more power, new, LS1/2 is awesome.
M3= handles great and is a cool car. Not quite as fast and yu are dealing w/ a german car w/ age and miles. Not always an easy scenerio.

M3 was sold today. Weak.

Time to keep looking... the GTO is a good deal, but I really don't like the color (red).
