Whoa, those things are pretty quick off the line (Porche 911 Turbo). One just got me by a car and a half while driving the wifes car. Spinning in 1st and 2nd didn't help me any. Next time I'd better have it set on "kill" or I'll be hanging my head in shame.(or maybe it's time for some more upgrades):D

awd twin turbo flat 6 isnt' going to be easy to beat with anything.

i think i've heard they run mid 11's pretty good for a factory car. pretty bad for $90+

only a car and a half loss, not bad.

Next time I will build boost instead of stab and steer. Kinda distracted a bit cause my daughter was asking if we can beat him and the light changed quicker than I thought. (My two excuses!!) Tried to get back even with it to try from a roll but he was doing faster than I wanted to go through traffic. Oh well, another day perhaps;)

We are not in the same league as a Turbo Porsche. There are GN's runnin around that can take them in the straight line. But top end is over 200mph, handles like it's on a track, and looks sexy as hell. To change the spark plugs the motor has to be pulled out of the car.

First, just WHAT 911 turbo was it? Only the new very expensive ones are twin turbo and might take us. They have made turbo 911's for pver 20 years.

The previous owner of my car has another GN and a 911 Turbo Carrera and he says the Porsch is no match what so ever for his GN.

So if it is a regular turbo 911 any modded GN should be able to take him. You don't see many of the really quick twins around since they are so expensive. I lived in Boca Raton (lots of expensive cars) and I only saw one.

All 996's (911) are twin turbo since 99' N/A 911's of course are not. Prior to that in the 993 run they were single turbo.
The Porsche can be ordered with a laundry list of options so looking stock does not always mean much. My 02' turbo will give a serious azz kicking to all except high to highly modified GN's. I still own two of em (gn's) and yes they are both faster in a straight line than the 996, however they are highly modified.
BTW a new 996 moderatly optioned will set you back closer to 145,000. But what a car!!

Fun info:
2003 911 Turbo X50-444hp, 0-60-3.7, 1/4-11.9@119.9, 60-0-110, slalom 69.9
2004 911 GT3 (n/a)-380hp, 0-60-3.9, 1/4-12.1@116, 60-0-113, slalom-71.6
These are just results of Motor Trend, so I am willing to bet that they are faster than this.

Thanks all, I don't feel so bad now. Not sure of the year of the car but it looked like the newer style with the wide rear end. Next time (if) I won't be asleep at the wheel and I'll launch wifes car like it supposed to be and see how it matches up:D

These numbers are just for comparason of where the Porsche's stand. Im shure that all cars can go faster or slower than this, b/c of all the factors of how the mag's drive the cars. BTW: I now feel poor.;)
