9 bolt 3.27 rear end on E-Bay

This rear end came out of a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am that was being built for drag racing. It fit under this car great. Just to clarify, 1993 was the last year the 9 bolt came in the f-body. This must have been swapped into this car since it is stronger than a 10 bolt

I wonder if a 8.8 out of a explorer, ranger, f-150 would be close to the same width?

They have 3:73 gears and 31 spline axles.

Nice find!

A forth gen fbody rear is longer than a third gen and will not fit unless you go to forth gen wheels.

4th gens had 10 bolts.. 9 bolts were used until the end of 89..Some early 90's squeezed through using the last of the inventory.Nothing special about that rear. There were TONS of them produced...Its also a pre-89 rear with iron calipers
