I'm converting my 85 T to an 87 drivetrain. The only issue I see having a problem with is the cooling fan. The car was converted to vacuum brakes by a previous owner, so I don't know if the car was a hydro-boost or power master setup. Is there any way to tell? Possibly from the 85 wiring harness since I haven't swapped the wiring harness yet? I want to be ahead of the curve figuring out if the electric fan wiring needs modifing. TIA

One of many options is what I did. Others chime in. The electric fan requires you to convert to the 87 ECM. Caspers Eletronics sells a kit which converts 84/85 TTYPES to the electric fan and it is extremely easy to install. The powermaster is easy to spot. It has an electric motor underneath the brake fluid reservoir with a black bulb sticking out the side of the unit. Vacuum brakes have the larger reservoir. My 2 cents(soon to be a nickel).Brad

I have not converted to the complete 87 setup. Does the wiring harness have to be changed? Thanks- Brad
