84 monte carlo with a factory 231 v6 turbo??

friend of mine use to own a monte believes it was an 84 that had a buick v6 231 turbo motor all factory. white with a gold interior and even had a bump on the hood similar to the turbo hood on buicks but towards the left side i believe.... i didnt know monte had that the turbo v6 option....is this right? is that a rare car??

I let two of them get away and the prices whir great.
One was white with the ugly Red or burgundy interior
The other one was also white with the blue interior.
That’s what happens when you get bad advice from Monte haters (Buick guys)

Not sure they made them as late as '84, but I could be wrong. But yes they did put those in Montes for a few years. In fact, I have a complete air box set from one sitting in my garage.

My first car in 1987 when I 16 was a 80 Monte Carlo turbo. It was a one owner car with 60 miles on it and was green, green, green! It was a pretty nice car and ran OK for what it was but like a lot of first cars it got driven in the dirt!!

They were 18 second cars, 17.9 for 81....one of the mags tested when new, think it was road and track .

The 81 are rare, less made than the Aerocoupe

I could see transplanting an LC2 into one just because people that know these cars know they were turds...

Somoen offered me a 1980 Regal turbo... I told himn to send it straight to the crusher.
