Personally I'd put a good flowing cat back on it (which mine is original and should be replaced also).
As for tweaks and upgrades, start with "Spring Cleaning", Usual maintainance of wear items (brakes, shocks & springs, etc...) Then move on to the usual upgrades I have in my signature below, not too expensive but will get the blood flowing.
Next, Alky injection to get the boost up, trans rebuild/shift kit, valve springs, timing chain, are on my to do list.
