I was just wondering what the major diff were in blocks?

mainly just because I wanted to know if i could use the cam sensor and the coil packs if I went distributorless.
I doubt that it will but one can hope.

It won't work, Electromotive has a DIS system that might work. Also MSD is working on a Coil Over Plug setup for V-8 Chevys, so maybe their setup will work for your 3/4 small block.

The major difference in the blocks is that the 4.3 is a sawed-off small block chevy, and the 3.8 is a sawed-off V8 Buick. Since there were (almost) no interchangeable parts between the V8 versions, there aren't any for the V6, either. On the other hand, it may be possible to use things from the chevy V8 in your 4.3... That could give you a distributorless system, with one coil per plug.

I figured as much, There is a company that does coil swaps for the lt1 using caddy coils (this months gmperf mag) ill probably end up giving them a call to see if theres any way it could work.
I am just sick of replacing caps and wires more often then oil.

lol @the 3/4 small block comment.
thanks for the info
