Just completed the installation of my cc 980 valve springs & felpro viton seals, everything seemed to go very well with the kirban tool. After completion I spun the motor over by hand just to watch all the valves move. looks like #3 exhaust lobe is worn, I'll have to put a dial indicator on it to be sure.

Guess I'm now looking for a cam. I've heard good things about the cc 206/206. Any recommendations? I plan on high 11's with alky & this winter installing a te61 & 10" 3200 convertor. This is now a good time to install a stock replacement timing chain, oil pump, etc. Shoud I check the bottom end bearings?" Maybe I finally found part the reason for my 15sec et's

It's amazing how well they run with a wiped lobe, until you get to the track. :( Since new stockers are long gone, a Comp 206 is a perfect cam for your goals and your future upgrades. Be sure to break it in with some GM EOS (Engine Oil Supplement) or some Good oil (I like Valvoline 40 or 50 wt. Racing).

Good Luck - Jimmy
