3 bar map sensor

i have an analog dash in my gn. i installed a 3 bar map sensor today to hook it up to my powerlogger. however now the boost gauge on my dash doesn't not work after i installed the 3 bar. i assumed that the factory boost gauge, while somewhat useless, would continue to work with the 3 bar. should my factory boost gauge still work with the 3 bar?

If you have it wired correctly it will work but will only show half the actual boost.

not quite on 3bar vs 2bar, its not half linear,
o2bar stock map 0v = -15psi, 2.5v = 0 psi, 5v =15psi
3bar map 0=-15psi, 1.6v=0 psi and 5v=30psi
(volages and psi are approx values as 1 bar is not exactly 15psi but its close enough for explaning )

with the stock dash using 3bar map
at wot gauge will show 15psi when its actually 30psi
and the guage should show the first led at about 6psi

one fix is get another map plug pigtail and wire the 3bar seperately to feed the powerlogger

Ok thanks. If I wanted to run the 3 bar by itself is it just three wires: power, ground, and to the powerlogger?
