I spun a rod bearing in my 3.8L GN engine a few months back. I am looking at getting a new crankshaft for the engine. I had the old rotating assembly balanced, would/should I get it rebalanced with a new crankshaft?

Thanks,
Chris

fair enough. I just dont wanna spend money where its not needed. If I pull pistons from the engine, would I be able to put them back in their respective cylinders without replacing rings? Its a relatively low mile engine that was balanced when it was built.

If Low miles & in Great shape then Yes you can but for $100 in rings I be real sure they are perfect before I put them back in.
