October 13th is the first meeting of:

GM 3.8 TURBO CLUB

For 1980¹s Cars Running the Grand National Engine
Including: Grand National GNX - Regal & La Sabre T - Regal Turbo - Trans
Am Turbo

This San Diego based group will cover Riverside, San Diego and Imperial
Counties.

The Club will start by meeting twice a year in October and May.

Our first meeting is coming up in a few weeks on Saturday, October 13th. It
will take place at On the Border Restaurant in Mission Valley. We are
meeting at 10:30 in the morning in the restaurant¹s parking lot for an hour
of checking out eachothers¹ cars, swapping lies and giving advice. If you
have parts and collectibles for sale, price them and and bring them along.

At 11:30 we will go into the restaurant for lunch. They have offered to
give us a special menu with a group of items all at the same price so we
won¹t have such a hard time dividing up the bill. This is not an expensive
place and their food is terrific.

We picked this date and location because it is the same Saturday as the
1/8th mile drags at Qualcomm Stadium. After our lunch, members will have
the option of going about 5 minutes away to the stadium to either race or
watch as a group.

Check out their great website for racing rules at:

There is no cost to join this club, it is just for fun.

Directions to the meeting: On the Border Restaurant is located in back of
Mission Valley Shopping Center. Take Freeway 8 to the Mission Center Road
exit. You can only go North. De La Riena is a few traffic lights North.
Take a right turn and go about 1/2 a mile East. On The Border is at 1770
Camino de la Riena across the street from Bed Bath & Beyond. It shares a
parking lot with Staples. In case you get lost, their phone number is
(619)209-3700 or call me on my cell phone.

I'll try to make it. Glad to hear that there will be a club for us in SD. I would love to meet some guys in the area because I just moved here. I was part of NorCal Turbo Buicks and the guys there were a tremendous help....I hope we can all meet and learn from eachother.:D

Dave: A Great Time Was Had By All!!
Thanks for putting this deal together. I really enjoyed meeting you, Nick, and the others. And catching up with Dave H., Neal S., Don W. and the rest. Some really nice looking GN's, T-Types, and TTA's that just totally put mine to shame.
