275/40/17?

anyone out there running 275/40/17 mt dr. if so what width and backspace wheel, frame notch and/or fender roll? thanks

I had 315/35's on a 10" rim with 5" bs and had to have the frame notched.
I believe their are guys using the tire you asked about without any notching or mods. I seem to remember if I would have got less backspace on a narrower rim I could have used 275/45's and not had to notch.
Sorry I don't have more info. but at least it gets you started.

I've ran 275s before with no mods to the frame or body. It's really not a hard tire size to fit.

Hell I even ran 325s with no frame/body mods but those did stick out past the wheel well a bit.

I had trouble running dr's that size because of the soft sidewall. Standard radials were no problem.

what do you need drag radials for ? you slow Mr. not avg 6 !!!!
