I've been looking for an aluminum transmission pan for my 86 GN. I can find them for every GM transmission ever made for ~$60 to $150 , until I search for 200R4 and then the price goes up to $350 to $600. What is the deal? They are no bigger than the others, smaller is some cases.

I have a spare deep aluminum pan if you want to consider used. I would have to get some pics. Send me a PM if you are interested.

If you think those prices are too high….. check out the pricing on Stef’s 200R4 Aluminum Transmission Pan…..better be sitting down though 😉

You have a link? He doesn't have them on his website.
Stef sells these exclusively thru another vendor. I’ll post their name & contact info as soon as I can dig it up for ya .
Last time I heard, believe they were over $700 though
Leave it with me

The Hughes Deep Pan with 700R4 bottom feeder filter works good for my purposes , no issues
Had it powder coated black afterwards

It probably does , but I haven’t found any issues with it being powder coated .
I do have an Alradco aluminum radiator & both oil / transmission cooler within the end tanks so it’s negligible. Keep in mind this thing holds an extra 2 or 2-1/2 quarts extra fluid. I’m running DexVI fluid which is synthetic so it better heat tolerant

Almost 12 quarts with Daves build with pan and extra front mount tranny cooler.

Oops almost forgot , I also have a large external transmission fluid cooler as well

Here is Stefs..... And yeah, it's in the $700 range.
