2004r upshift 6500? boost valve?

thinking about roller cam for my 383, might have power band of 3500-7000.. whats the highest shift rpm you can get from drilling govinor.. anything else you can do?

also wondering if i should get a 0.570" diameter TV boost valve
and 0.400" diameter low/rev boost valve. tranny builder told me i have .500 main boost valve now... this will make lots more holding pressure right? will that effect shift feel? how tough install?

if you use an ss vbody and governor and modify the governor itll be good to about 6000rpms.if not ,use a non gn or ss valve body with an aa,by ,cr or ct valve body and itll go to 6800 plus.if you need the parts or further advice give me a ring,

shift points

I believe you can get a BRF to shift higher than 6000. I have a BRF trans that shifts @ 5800-5900 in my car. I loaned it to a friend with a Stage II eng. with Champion heads that ran 135 mph @ Bristol last year. It shifted @ 6300 in his car with no changes to the governor. Now I did remove 1 gram of weight from it originally to get my 5800-5900 shift points. This is a fact--1 gram off the small weight will raise your shift point 200 RPM.

ok thanks guys, what about the boost valves? should i get them for my application? will they change shift feel? how to install? thanks.
