I have CK book but still looking for some help.
i recently rebuilt the trans with a CK master kit.
afterwards it does not make the 3/4 shift.
i put a gauge on the 4th gear tap and i see appx 25lbs in 1,2,3,4th light exceleration
driving on the freeway at about 50-60 i do not see a pressure jump when i would expect 4th gear.
(how much pressure should it see?)
in another attempt- i hooked up a hose and my portable air tank and went for a ride.
got the mph up to appx 50 and applied air (60lbs) and no 4th gear shift.
it looks like i might have 2 problems.
4th clutch test-
in the book it says block the center support bolt holes with ball bearings, i did.
later on i found that that is the 4th gear pressure test, so i did not do the 4th clutch test properly.
so maybe the 3/4 valve is stuck or i have it in with the chamfer facing the wrong way, can it be
installed backwards, would it cause the no 3/4?
i wonder if i need to drop the VB to get to the 3/4 valve...
Thanks!!!!!
