2004r 3-2 control valve delete

Hi my gn has a popular shift kit with this modification what exactly does this mod do

Takes that valve out of the circuit and effectively shortens the circuit to apply the direct clutches much faster than before the modification.

Is this the mod that removes the stock spring from behind the valve and replaces it with a pump slide pivot spring in front of the valve to block the valve closed plus some spacer plate and check ball stuff ?
