Is thier any way that i can just replace the tail shaft berrings without rebuilding? How do i go about it and dose anyone have picks of how this is done? Their is no bolts that i see to get to just the tail shaft like in a 350 or 400 trany. The trany runs great and shifts very solid no sliding in to geers.

There is a Kent Moore tool made to replace it without removing trans. i have not seen one in years.

There is a tool that slides over the output shaft and catches the inside of the bushing insert. It has a long bolt that pushes up against the output shaft to pull the bushing out. I can send pics of one when I get home from work if you like.
