Does a 200 from a mid-80's RWD Cadillac with a 307 Olds motor have the same bellhousing as a Chevy motor?

Reason I'm asking is because I'm thinking about buying a Fleetwood Brougham and putting a 5.3 LS motor in, but using a 200-4r, so all the gauges will work etc.

No it should have the bop bolt pattern if indeed it's from an olds motor.

I thought any LS engine would bolt to any trans from a SBC. The aftermarket bell is neat, but I'm not going sink that kind of money into a mid-eighties Cadillac cruiser.

what does the Metal Tag at near the tail shaft say ( if it's still there ) ? it's a 3 Letter code..

I don't know, I'm picking up the car tomorrow. It's the stock transmission in a 1986 Fleetwood Brougham.

It's a super clean car. Only problem is that it's got a high mileage carbureted 307.
