I am installing an LSA supercharged engine in my Coupe Deville. Looking at transmission options. I do not want a 4l80. Looking at either a TH400 or a 2004r. The engine is going to be 800hp or so, enough to get into the 9's. It is drive by wire, so no throttle linkage. I would like OD so I can run a 3.73 gear. Otherwise I guess a 3.08 or 3.23 with a TH400. Is there anyway to totally get rid of the TV cable? I don't mind running a full manual, as the 400 will be,I prefer it. Looking at doing the constant pressure valve body mod.

I found TCI has a manual vavle body. Wouldnt doing the constant pressure mod and not using the tv cable do the same thing just foward pattern? How hard will the constant pressure be on the trans? The car will be driven not like a dd but fairly often.

I'm not a 200 R4 expert but I would bet the constant pressure would be real hard on the pump drive and slide.

Eats a lot of power, weight, and converter selection.

So does the 400.
A call to Dusty Bradford takes care of the "converter selection" issue.
As for the weight: As much as that car weighs, a few more #'s is pretty much a non-issue.
