2-3 shift

So ive had the chance to drive my car more offten and im starting to notice the 2nd to 3rd gear shift is starting to hang up more frquently. i think everyone calls it that 2-3 busyness?? anyways i have the tv cable set right and im nto sure what is causing this.... Anyone have any idea, please help

Its a fully built tranny with a cz valve body and a ptc 9.5'' n/l converter

Shift busyness or hunting is shifting back & forth between 2 gears at certain rpms/speeds.
Are you talking about this, or not wanting to shift from 2nd to 3rd?

it feels like its getting hung up and feels like the cars slowing down so ill back off on the throttle and then itll go into 3rd gear with a clunk. it doesnt do it all the time though.

Could be several things causing problem.
TV/ThrottleValve plunger binding/sticking.
Binding/sticking 2-3 shift valve or 2-3 TV/ThrottleValve.
Servo not releasing 2nd Band.
These are just a few causes from ATSG Manual from 'Rough 2-3 Shift' & 'No 2-3 Shift' sections.

do i need to replace servo if its sticking?

You can check to see if the Exhaust or Bleed holes are plugged, Seals broken, binding on Pin etc.. shouldn't need replacing unless there's a bad wear problem.

Have you checked Pressure while driving to see what's going on?
