Below are some of the pictures taken during the restoration of my mom's '87 GN. She gave it to me in April 2010, I took possession in May, and finished up the lion's share of the work in early October. A big shout-out to Kenny D who worked many long nights to get the project done before winter. He is an amazing paint/body guy who could paint a car in carport and still have awesome results! 
His specialty is black cars and it really shows.
It was in pretty rough shape from sitting outside under a tree but had amazingly little rust to deal with. It was almost as if the inch of crud underneath the car had protected it somehow...didn't see that coming but sure as heck wasn't gonna be-atch about it!
Now it's at that point where I have about 5 years worth of nit-picky things to make right (in other words, it will never really be "done"). It is bone-stock and I used as many NOS parts as I could afford(many thanks to Glen at nos4gn). Had to draw the line at paying $1600 for new rear bumper fillers so I went with ABS and modified them to fit. I had bought what was advertised as good used(flexible no cracks) fillers from someone on this board but they turned out to be junk. I waited too long to deal with it as I got them early in the project. I didn't realize what a POS they were until close to the end of the project so I didn't have much leverage to complain.
Live and learn I guess.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy the pics as much as I enjoyed putting the old gal back on the road.:smile:
