18x8.5 15mm and 18x9.5 20mm... Think these will come close to fitting?

I'm SOOOO lost when it comes to wheel sizing. I still don't why understand stock Grand National rims have a negative offset and GNX wheels being positive (I understand the basics of wider rim making it less dramatic and fender flares... assuming the suspension, other than the rear end set up, wasn't different on GNXs).

I have a 1987 Grand National that will be getting GNX Fender Flares. Going off of the GNX wheel sizing (8" all around 15mm offset front and 23mm rear) I was wondering if I could get by with an 18" x 8.5" 15mm front wheel and 18" x 9.5" 20mm rear wheel...?

I've spent the last two nights searching on here and reading everyone's backspacing in the wheel sticky and am still lost. Going off of this online tool I SEEM to be ok...

...but wanted to ask the guys with real world experience.

Any chance they will work? If not would they work with a small spacer or is it the opposite problem? Thanks in advance for helping a wheel noob!
