120 AMP AC Delco alternator with PT&E adjustable voltage reg
Alternator w/ PT&E Adjustable Voltage Regulator bought new about a year and a half ago. It is 120 AMP. I must be honest, I am not happy with it's performance on my application. I have an electric water pump that is in the way of my belt and was forced to under-drive the alternator pulley. It doesn't respond well at idle and low RPMs. I went with the 140 AMP Impala SS one and solved my problems.

If you are not under-driving it it will work great.

I have over $225.00 in it with regulator.

was the problem at low rpm and idle because of the elec water pump? and will it work fine on a stock setup? if so im interested

the problem was that i had to under drive it to avoid my water pump. not designed for that.
