NO THERE HAS BEEN NO WORK DONE TO TRANNY. THE CAR HAS 30,000MILES ON IT. WAS DRIVING ONE DAY STOMPED ON IT ,SOME SMOKE CAME OUT THE BACK AND EVER SINCE ONLY WORKS IN DRIVE. IT TAKES OFF IN DRIVE NOT FIRST,SECOND,DRIVE JUST DRIVE.
87 gn stock , won't shift out of drive doesn't matter where the shifter is 1,2,d. reverse does work fine. never had pan off before, not a daily driver.
yes it cruises around well with no boost and up to 8psi but soon as 10,11 psi it starts to stumble. I have no scan tool but do have fuel pressure gage under the hood, set at 45psi line off.
I have 87 gn that I have installed afpr ,thrasher 92, and adjustable wastegate. I have also done spring cleaning and also new autometer boost gage. My problem is the car stutters at 10psi on gradual acceleration to just about half throttle then seems to be fine the rest of the way to wot. But...
Thanks for the information,I did have a fuel gage on to set the regulator ,but did not check under boost. I figure my next purchase will be a walbro 307 or 340 looks like they are very popular with the members on this board. I will let you know my results.
I do have new boost gage and with stock chip 14 psi. With the thrasher the problem happens before I get to 14psi. With gradual accelleration I can feel it barely missing and then it falls on its face at not even half throtle.I will check the other adjustments as suggested.
I have just installed my thrasher chip. I went for a drive, the car sounds like it backfires under the hood when boost starts to come on stong.I have fuel pressure at 45psi. I have done most of spring cleaning. The car also was working fine before chip change. The car is stock other than fuel...
I just bought an adjustable regulator good for 35 to 65 psi. Is there any way to set the pressure with out installing gage. Possible to adjust it out of the car. I have thrasher 92 and want to get it in the car.
The performance dealers in my area don't sell walbro products. I would like to get fuel pump and regulator. Is there any problems with holley products for gn applications. If holley is acceptable would anyone have part# or specs required.
