Thanks Well, I pulled the center console out. The metal rod that slides into the tube on the left of the shifter is broke right were the cable connects. Is there a link on how to fix this? What should that cable cost to replace? Thanks again, Doug

Got the key out I went back out, and the car will shift fine, from under the car. I was able to get it into park with no problems. Does this sound like a cable problem then? Thanks Doug

I had the steering wheel(tilt) bolts tightened up the other day. I brought the car home, the car wouldn't go into park, and the key wouldn't come out. Now the shifter moves from park to L1 free. It's like nothing is hooked up to the shifter at all. Any ideas? TIA Doug

My steering wheel has about 1/4 inch play in the entire wheel. The tilt section moves up and down and side to side about 1/4 inch. Is there a way to tighten this up? It just started 3 days ago. No work has been done on the car. TIA Doug

Update I removed the console cover, and the J shaped piece at the end had moved abouy 1/4 in. and would'nt slide back up. Pushed it over and now it is fine:D . Thanks for all the help. This board is truly a great place. Doug

Pin removal I removed that to get the stock handle off. Was that the wrong thing to do? How do I get the white piece to pop back up? Thanks Doug

How do I get to the spring? Is the spring located in the "rod" portion of the shifter? How do I access it. Thanks

I bought a shifter handle from "Buick from Hell" Trying to follow instructions on install. Turned the white center piece up and pushed to see how low it went down(when shifter button would be depressed) and now it won't pop back up. Any ideas? TIA Doug

Still stock radio All the wires "seem" good.

Plugged my cell phone charger into the lighter socket, and the radio/door locks, and interior lights quit working. Check the radio fuse....good. What else should I look at. The charger has never done that in the past. Thanks Doug

I can only find 91 octane in my area. Will adding some type of octane booster help? Or am I wasting my money. Also, would more than one can help? Thanks Doug
