wanted; pix of a frame notch

The GMHTP link no loger works for me so I am now going from memory. If you remember the patch plate he was cutting to fit inside the frame rails, you would notice it had a good amount of surface rust and mill scale. It is very important to remove all scale and surface rust prior to welding...

No, it's not good work at all. First, hammering rusty inner fenders is nothing more than a hack job at best. There are much better solutions, and yes they cost more, by why would you ever beat rusty fenders in with a hammer. If you wanted to get out of it cheap you could just as easily...

wanted; pix of a frame notch

I used to have pictures of mine up on the board. They are probably long gone and the car and the frame are gone as well. I'll see if I can dig up some pics and scan them in.

That was directed more at the magazine than at you, sorry for the misunderstanding. The magazines used to have higher standards.

    Newbie welder..help!

If you plan on doing body and patch work skip the tig, you'll just warp it. I would go with 1st) Lincoln sp-135+, 2nd) Miller Millermatic 135, 3rd) Lincoln sp-135. With lots of practice you will be able to do more than you ever dreamed of with any of these welders. Don't buy one with a...

Revise the front fascia and grill slightly, deep six the ram air scoop and I'd call it perfect. Chris S

    I'm in the 98%

Orange wrench. The original study must have been done in a red hammer factory as the 98%/2% figure is bogus. The probability is virtually nil that you would have 15 out of 16 pick other than a red hammer if those percentages were correct. Chris S .

    Logic question

    Brian has it right. (-1*-1) = 1 sqrt(-1*-1) = sqrt(1) sqrt(-1*-1) is not equal to sqrt(-1)*sqrt(-1) Chris S

    new camaro

The red/black camaro rendering from gordyzx9r's post looks sooooo much better. GM design or not, it would outsell whatever the general designs by twofold. Chris S

    Shop Equipment

I think any decent condition/quality American equipment is out of the question at that price. I would stick with Grizzly. Their quality seems to be controlled better than Jet/HF (No experience with Sherline), their customer service is very good, and they have a good reputation with the home...

Physics question.. can you figure it out?

From the logic side... The aircraft can have no velocity if it is not in motion. The wheels can have a rotational velocity and the runway can have a linear velocity, but the aircrafts velocity relative to a stationary reference point will be zero. We are obviously not measuring velocity...

Physics question.. can you figure it out?

This question can be answered by either logical reasoning or physical reasoning. In either case the plane will take off. Something to consider for those of you still on the fence... Can the aircraft have velocity without motion? If the aircraft has no motion, how can the control system...

    Bought my first pistol

You can not go wrong with a Springfiled XD. Out of the box the XD is the most reliable, most accurate, easiest to shoot and most fun to shoot handgun I have ever experienced (with the exception of the high dollar 1911's such as Brown, Wilson etc.). A winner in every sense of the word. Chris S
