With gas prices projected hit $5 a gallon (or close to it) this year , I would go with an Equinox. The 4 cyl. model gets 32 mpg. Plus that will keep you under 30k. Giving up the 3rd seat is worth the huge cost savings IMO. If the 3rd seat is a must have, I would look for a slightly used Acadia...

I would try uship.com. You can have multiple shippers place bids so you can get the best price. Just make sure to check if they are insured and also their feedback before you accept the bid. I have had good luck using uship in the past.

Man, I'm really sorry to hear about all of this. I would expect that kind of garbage from an insurance company, but a cop? One would think he'd be the first to man up and take a little more responsibility. Hopefully the new owner will get her fixed up right. Not many 87 two-tone T's around...
