I picked up the 4l80e pressure plate which is .366 and used two .100 steels and 2-.070 steels and it looks like im right at about .055 clearance.

Yea, im using the Trans go HD oversized snap ring now. I wasn't aware of that they came in different thicknesses. Wouldn't it be better to have the pressure plate machined to gain the clearance? I would think youd want a beefy snap ring there.

Sorry I should have updated this long ago but the problem ended up being the new reverse band was part of a bad run of bands and when i tore the unit down the entire lining of the band was delaminated from the steel part of the band. Talk about shit luck

be very careful while installing any boost valves with o-rings. suuuuper easy to cut the orings. i stay away from them personally
