test pipe ? dump pipe ?

Test pipe is used to replace the cat (removal of cat). Dump pipe is used to dump the exhaust before cat (w/removal of cap - manually or electronically). The test/dump piece incorporates both in one (replaces cat and allows for manual/electrical dump option).

A/C will run you anywhere from 600-800$ depending on extent of parts replaced and shop labor price per hour (usually 70-90$ per hour) (the most I spent on a complete a/c conversion w/most parts replaced was 750.00). 0-500$ if you do the work yourself (depending on what's wrong). Here are a...

That WE4 was sold so cheap because the seller was having personal matters that led him to sell it. It was originally for around 14K which is STILL cheap considering. Luckily, a fellow board member stopped the bleeding and picked it up. You're not going to come by those deals again...

    Help a kid out!!!

He's an ASE tech who knows turbo regals in the Virginia Beach area. He is also a board member. If he has one for sale, odds are it is in pretty good running condition. I'm curious if you wanted any more pics. I'm planning on taking it to the lift tomorrow and snapping some pics...

    Wtb: Gn

I have an 87 GN hardtop in S. Maryland that I need to sell. I attached a word document w/most of the stuff I can remember. It has ZERO rust and was painted with a 2-stage (base/clear) setup in Jul 08. It has never slept outside since the paint job. All light lenses have been replaced with...

Can Not Hear Fuel Pump When Trying To Start Car... Car Won't Start...

If you haven't yet - check your ground first, then your relays. After verifying both are good, then I'd follow this post. I hate to hear of people removing/replacing things before checking the simple stuff. Been there - done that.

Engine cutting out around 4100 rpm. Need help

A couple of things to definitely check for your issue: 1. follow your positive cable from your batt to your starter, ensure there is no break or exposed wire grounding out on either your header or your starter heat shield. This will cause it to stumble under load (usually giving a SES light)...

It shouldn't matter if its 95, 74, 55, or 105 degrees. If it is tuned properly and everything is working as it should, then the results she be similar. A scantool can consist of a few varieties including what you have and/or want to use. However, there are several TR specific scantools out...

    Frustrated New GN owner

Well, if I were you, here's what I'd do - BEFORE cruising around til next year: Garage it; pull the heads and get 'em reworked; swap your cam and lifters with a mild street cam; and while all that is going on... Get a Scanmaster! It sounds to me that you have an issue w/your car. If you are...

    Frustrated New GN owner

Lots of great advice here, but I'll go ahead and put in my .02. I would browse Vortex Turbo Buick Performance and Turbo Regal Web Site for as much info as possible. Keller from gnttype has all the info you'll need on getting the most out of a stock Turbo Regal. I noticed you've got a...

To all guys running ATR style China Headers...

I must be missing something, but I thought mild steel is better for our application over stainless steel. Isn't SS more susceptible to cracking (from heat)? As long as the mild steel is coated, the main factor (corrosion) is greatly eliminated (like Stainless). Right? Doesn't mild steel...

    Wastegate Location?

That means to pull the actuator arm (straight brass rod coming from round actuator diaphragm that is bolted to compressor side of turbo) from the elbow (bend coming from exhaust side of turbo). They meant wastegate actuator, probably assuming you understood what they were talking about. It...

    installed TA49.......problem

R u getting a SES light under load? Did you follow your positive cable from batt. to the starter and ensure there isn't any exposure, esp. around the starter (usually grounds out on sheild under load if there is any rubbed out exposure)? Is your wastegate arm connected to the puck...

    Motor mounts ????

On a cheaper note: There's always the torque strap. Works fine for moderate HP applications. If you DO get the MMs, then I suggest getting the Trans Mount along with.
