    Girdles...when do you really need to install?

    The girdle adds the thickness between the block and the pan creating a larger capacity. I do not overfill the engine past the full mark on the dipstick, it just leaks more when at full is what I said.

    Constant 40lbs on the guage and the injectors where cleaned when rebuild was done, might have to pull some out and take a peek. Does ethanol in the fuel affect injectors like it does on small carbs? I have had to send off both my dirt bike and my sons to have the carbs cleaned from being gummed...

    My girdle leaks like no tomorrow out of the back near main seal when I fill it to the absolute top of the full mark on dip stick. Ofcourse you do have more oil now in the pan and that can't be a bad thing.

    When the engine was rebuilt a few months ago but they are new champion irons and KDK did it. I replaced the valve with a NAPA one and seems to have slowed it down some. I will take the upper plenum off later this weekend and take a look, can't hurt anyway.

    Alright I pulled the intake pipe off that goes into the throttle body and there is a small pool of oil/gas all the way in the back of it before the plenum. The PCV is free, well it moves around but I can blow air threw both sides of it and there is oil if you look at the top of the throttle body...

    Pulled the dipstick and the oil does have a hint of gas smell. Is there a special tool to take off the sensor properly or is it like a 22 mm? I only go up to 19 and it was a bit small. Basically now when the car is cold the sensor will read 400's but after warmup goes to 0 constantly...
