2008 GS National Race Results POSTED

Probably not until I get out to Norwalk on Thursday and get my paperwork from my briefcase, which is in my truck in Ohio. I'm sure I can post it from my hotel once I'm out there.

    Public Service Announcement for BG.

In my mind, letting a competitor sort out a problem in a reasonable amount of time is what racing and sportsmanship is supposed to be about. Several years ago in BG in GSE one Apollo GSX wouldn't start and the other one (his competition) helped him jump start his car and the car with the...

    Super-16

To answer the dragster question again...the answer is no and it's going to stay no. With that...... I actually came on here to post that I received an additional sponsor yesterday. Jack Merkel Racing Engines came on board for $250. That makes the sponsor-provided payouts $3500!! Even if the...

    Why no handicap-style allowed??

Hi Claude, I just wanted to correct a couple of things for you. Buick Performance Weekend at Englishtown has two Bracket classes geared for the "little guy" and at different times we (The Northeast GS/GN Club) have tried it in B1/B2 style, based on an ET cutoff, and other times we've divided the...

    Super-16

Freddy, as far as the single field goes...last year there were seven turbo cars in Super-16 Turbo. That's not "Super" and it's not "16" either. There wouldn't have been even that many, except for a ten second street car and an eleven second street car who both jumped into qualifying when they...

    Super-16

I'm up to $100 each for Quarter-final payouts and I've got another sponsor coming on board tomorrow, quite possibly for significant money. I'll post when I get the call.

    Super-16

Just an update - When I got ESP Products added to the sponsor list today, that additional $250 means we only need 22 cars to hit the payouts as described. That should be easy, since we had over 25 cars in qualifying last year, spread over two S-16 fields. Seven turbo cars and eighteen or...

I appreciate the comments, as well as the additional sponsorship. Good Luck getting a ride!

    Super-16

To all Super-16 racers: I've made several changes to Super-16 for this year's GS Nationals which are all geared towards making it a little more exclusive as well as having the class payouts be where I think they should be, where we all expect they should be. For one thing, the $45 entry fee has...

MT ET dragradials VS BFG dragradials

Actually, the M/T drag radial is street legal. I've run the 255-50/16s on the back of my T/R for three or four years. The BFGs I ran before that were definitely better on the street, especially in the rain, but the Mickeys are WAY better on the strip!

BRISTOL- Vote for a Sept. 08 Date!

Sean, the BPG has nothing to do with Buick Performance Weekend at Englishtown. We (the Northeast GS/GN Club) are the responsible (?) parties behind that event. That said, I hope that.... #1) V-8s are welcome and B) It is held the 11th -13th so I and some of my Northeast compadres can attend...

    New Jersey - 9/3 and 9/4

I was gonna enter my T/R in one of the Buick brackets because I think the payouts are higher than in the GN vs Mustang Bracket. Is the GN vs Mustang still a "one run and you're done" format or is it an eliminator bracket? I raced in that several years ago, and made the "Junior Team Grand...

I think perhaps he was confusing your car with the Pontiac Beaumont. Part Poncho, part Chevy. Made in Canada. Or he's an idiot.

    Terrel Owens

Yeah, he does have the right to renegotiate. And they have the right to say "you have a contract, and we'll hold you to it." I'm just glad he can't go play for anyone else. This way they can force him to honor the contract or not get paid. And that goes for the length of the deal. If I owned the...
