I'm sure this Porsche wasn't fully engaging you. It seems they all run around at half throttle toying with everybody. It's a proven fact that one with a Tiptronic can outrun the space shuttle to the moon and back and use less fuel doing it.........:rolleyes: :p

My car is bone stock and runs pretty well but it seems that on long pulls at WOT, like up a hill at say, 55 it wants to overboost and ping like crazy. What would cause this and how do I fix it? I've checked all the vacuum lines and everything seems ok.

Seems to me, for the kind of power you want to make, the RPM range you're looking for, cost effectiveness, and ease of installation a mildly built Buick 455 will do exactly what you're looking for. A 455 with a decent cam and a good set of heads will put out close to 500 horse with no trouble...
