If ya use the search bar there's at least 6+ pages of posts about upgrading the brakes.

Go trew those & pick out what works for ya. If ya don't like what ya see choose whatever set-up will work for ya. Not trying to be a dick, but this topic has been brought up numerous times.

Depends on your wheel choice. Stock T-Type aluminum, blazer brakes are a minor upgrade. Stock GN wheels not much choice in the budget realm. With 18" wheels I have C6 Z51 brakes (not Z06) which you can do pretty cheap; CPP makes a kit with the C5 parts.

Question is do you really need an upgrade? What are you looking to do?

When I did this around 2007 this was my answer.

Surprisingly the price isn't as juiced as I would've thought like 20 years later.

Once you know the wheels DROP CENTER (ID of the wheel) you can find this answer.

Stock wheels info has to be on here. Then use the Aerospace total height and you'll know. My Autodrag wheels are 15x8 but luckily the spacer helped solve this issue for me, no way it was hitting then.

I got burned on the above, bought wheels for my GTO, they gave every spec except Drop Center, I assumed it was gonna clear normal 11.75" disc brakes and it was a tad too tight, had to sell wheels at a loss because the shop didn't listen to when I asked to try them on first, not mount tires then put on. Used the info and found Weld S71 clears, all good and the wheels look better so I wasn't as pissed.

When I did mine in 06 I did c6 zo6 with b body spindles and hotchkis control arms and RideTech muscle bar. I don’t care what anyone says those corvettes make good parts cars
