Local auto parts place had a mobile dyno setup along with a car show. So I decided why not. The conditions weren't ideal 101 deg with 40% humidity, anyway it made 522 hp @ 544 torque. Guess its time for a forged crank and a girdle :)
I have not verified but my guess would be close to 9:1 Im using the RJC headgaskets with milled heads. I had to mill the intake in order for everything to line up.
Top end RPM was 5350 at 123 mph I am using the cam kit from Weber PAC 1200 springs w/shims and Morel lifters (no didn't measure spring height my bad) and 275/60/15 tires.
I am running that cam with a 6262 turbo and PTC converter (see signature) anyway its brutal on the low end. My goal is high 10's and so far have run a 11.05 with bad 60 ft time due to traction problems. Have some HR adjustable uppers ordered now.
I was there had my 944 turbo entered in the event. The accident was brutal good thing he is ok. I was listening to the track officials talk on the radio, they said his car began to come apart after the half mile marker (190+ mph) and went airborn before the mile marker.
I hope to see some of you guys at the next event in March. I'm planning on entering my Porsche 944 turbo just for the heck of it. I don't expect to go much faster than 150 but it should be fun.
I was having a occasional misfire too, and once had a backfire at WOT scared the crap out of me. Turned out the balancer was loose (my fault) and to make matters worse it was cracked at the key way. I guess it was affecting the crank sensor. I replaced it with one from TA and so far no problems.
My stage II tranny from Lonnie arrived yesterday. Installed it last night with the help of some buddies and a lot of beer. Took the car for a small test drive (I wasnt drinking :) and all works well.
