Are these tanks the same size? I have the kirban tank straps and am about an inch from being home on the front straps. my car didn't have the rubber cusions under the straps so maybe these be keeping me from tightening? I've got the tank tight and dont want to crank on the bolts anymore for...

Just did mine also after posting. used longer bolts to get started then after the straps took shape removed and installed the original bolts. Question? How much space should be between the front strap and the car. I have about one inch of thread left before the strap bottoms out and the tank...

Take a break! then get the straps to conform exactly to the shape of the tank. I put final bolts in the front pushing up while turning with a socket. If you can't get it up there find some longer bolts just to get it started them remove and install the correct bolts.

Are the wires inside the tank anything special due to the constant contact with fuel?
