    Best converter for TE-44??

Thats probably why the company reccomended the Vig. single disc over the multi disc since I told them my car will be driven mostly on the street.I keep waiting for a drop in price. The last time I priced one I think it was $730 a few years ago.

    Best converter for TE-44??

Yeah, the Art Carr's are best on the track some people say, not fot the street.I think a 9/11 or a Vigilante Converter is what im narrowing my choice down to.The Vigilante company reccommended me a 3200 9.5 single Disc L/U.Anyone run that type of converter with the 44 Turbo??I don't know why the...

    Best converter for TE-44??

Yeah im leaning towards a 3200 stall converter even though a upgraded 3000 stall would help.I run drag radials also.I was just a little concerned of overpowering the car with the almost instant boost on the street.I don't think I ever heard of anyone on this board saying a 3200 stall converter...

    Best converter for TE-44??

My exhaust housing is a Garret.63 not a PTE-85.I guess if it spooled to fast with my Garret.63 I could always move up in Turbo size or try a bigger exhaust housing like you.I have no clue though how a .85 Exhaust housing on a TE-44 turbo would be on the street even with a good 3200 stall converter??

    Best converter for TE-44??

Precision told me with my combination that the 3200 9.5 single disc converter would work best.Im concerned about getting into boost to quickly.I guess it wouldn't matter if I got a TE-60 later but for now I am trying to get the most out of the TE-44.I know alot of guys have a 3200 stall...

    Best converter for TE-44??

I had been considering a good 3200 Torque converter for a while now.My car is only driven on the street. My stock 3000 D5 is ok and it is stalled at 3000.There is a little lag there but im wondering if a aftermarket 3200 converter will be to much converter for the street??I like a faster spooling...

    Tire/Rim size and backspacing ?

I would go for a TE-44 or TE-60 Turbo.I had a bigger turbo on my car a while ago and it absolutely sucked on the street. When I went with the TE-44 Turbo with my modified 12 inch 3000 Stall, the car had great street manners(minimum turbo lag) and it hit really hard and the change was dramatic.I am...

Im from Berks County PA.Just moved up here. I have been looking for some reputable Turbo Buick inspection station in PA around me that does alot of inspections for these type of cars and does not like ripping guys off and can be trusted.Im in the Reading area and looking to find a long term...

Largest size tires that will fit on a factory

I have the BF Goodrich 275/28 inch tall Drag Radials on my Welds and after a long trip because of moving last week to a different area with some excess weight in the trunk the tire bent a small part of the quarter panel straight up.Its only about 3 inches though.I think if I had more then 15 psi...

    Air Bags??

I have Air Bags in my suspension.I have BF Goodrich 275 Drag Radials. The tire is 28 inches tall.I had noticed after a long drive moving with some weight in the back that part of the quarter panel probably hit the tire on the left side and put the under side(about 3 to 4 inches) of the quarter...

    Who Sells Vigilante Convertors

I have never bought a after market torque converter before because most of my cars I have owned had manual transmissions.I know Vigilante's help the car launch and also helps in spooloing the turbo.I was wondering if the 3200 9.5 single disc L/U would affect gas mileage in a negative way??I have...

    Who Sells Vigilante Convertors

The 3200 9.5 single disc L/U converter is priced at $729 by Precision. It looks like a modification that is well worth it.I just need the money to buy it.

water leaking on my passenger's side...

I seen both of the rubber tubes.I guess I would have to take the headliner down.It doesn't matter anyway now because its beyond repair from when the Astro Roof leaked. The car now is not parked up a hill but rather down the hill.I thought just maybe it could stop the leaking.Being that it rained...
