It would not bother me to install a .020 crank in my wifes GN or a customers.Have run .040 in sbc circle track stuff for years with no crank problems. Jeff

Could someone tell me where I could find the measurments for placing the Gn emblems that are located on the front fenders? Had the car painted and they wanted us to wait for the emblems to be put back on. The body shop owner closed shop in a hurry, because insurance fraud and left the state...

My wifes Run bad when I finaly got it to start, but the coil pack numbers do not match my cylinder #. had to switch 1 & 3 and 4&6. now runs nice.

Just put the lunati in my wifes 87 not sure of the # the sheet is at the shop. Seemed fine in town today and pulled hard, and we only have 40 miles on the rebuild.:)

Found the problem, wires were crossed. For some reason on my coil pack the way its numbered is not right. Had took a few pic's befor I pulled it and went back for a look had to switch 1&3 and 4&6.

Have checked the firing order several times, just was not sure if the cam censor could cause a condition like that. It acts just like a SBC with the distributor to far advanced. Thanks for the response back will check the cam censor. When I pulled it out had run #1 to TDC and marked the...

Finally have my wifes engine back in. Now I have technical question. When trying to start the car it fights its self like it would be to far advanced or the wires are crossed. Not sure if the cam sensor can cause that kind of starting condition. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks Jeff

I do not have all my blocks line bored when changing to studs, but I do check them with a dial bore gauge.Have found very few that have been in need of line boring. Jeff

If you do not have use of a flow bench, stick to matching gaskets and cleaning up under the valves ( guide bosses, short side radius and just blend the bowl area) You could make them flow worse if you have never done it befor.:eek:

Buick 3.8 does not use exhaust stem seals, would have to change valves to beable to install them. Jeff

Some pic's with a digital camera might help when you go to put it back in for that bracket you might have forgoten where it went , could save you some time.
