I've got a Lee Thompson deep pan. I picked one up because I was missing the original baffled pan and figured why not spend a couple more bucks for a deep pan. It was a little more difficult getting the engine back in, but not much. He also supplied a modifed pickup. With a pf24 and the pan...
As stated before, the ES kit contains every bushing you need. The "GNX" bushings aren't special, they just weren't put on the regals. My basest of the base model 86 Cutlass came with them, as did I believe all the Montes and Grand Prixs.
Funny this post came up. I was out cruising around and noticed that the LS1s on my dads car squeek at a certain light petal. Not really too sure what to do about it. Does yours have all the spring clips on it? If those are missing that could cause a bit of noise. Pads can be purchased for a...
I was under the impression that the front backspacing is 4 3/8". I'm running .60" hubcentric spacers on the back of my dad's GN which looks pretty good. Fills the wheel well just about right.
Are you looking for the abutment brackets? IIRC, they are pretty friggin expensive from the dealer from what I've heard when I was researching the LS1 swap. If you don't have the calipers yet there is a company that sells the C5 calipers along with the brackets for around $300 (I think). I...
I'm running the Moog 5660 springs in front. With the SC&C stage 2 package it sits pretty low. If you want I can get you actual measurements on ride height. The car sat slightly higher before the stage 2, but was still lower than stock.
For rears, I'm running the G-body cargo coils, which...
Thats what it looked like. After doing a quick search it looked like someone found a NAPA part number that worked. I'm going to try to pick one up tomorrow and see.
I tried a 5.0 Mustang and the sock the parts guy brought out didn't look like it'd work.
Mike, I'm pretty sure I got the pump from you a couple years ago.
Anybody know a replacement part number for the fuel sock used with the Walbro 307/340s? Mine is pretty clogged and would like to replace.
On another topic, anybody have problems with the search feature on this site? It only seems to work for me a fifth of the time or so.
When I did the LS1s I used the B-body lines that I had used for the B-body brakes. I think these lines are alittle longer than the stock G-body lines. IMO the lines I'm using are actually a bit too long for this, but should work okay. The fittings are fine. You do need the LS1 banjo bolt...
As far as brakes go, you have a few options.
1. The (so called) ZQ8 setup. This is from 2wd Blazers (I think) from late 90s early 2000s (again, I think). This setup uses 11" rotors and 2 piston cast iron calipers. Its a good upgrade from stock, and you can still use stock components if...
