Problem resolved after I exhausted all options and money LOL. After all was replaced and done it still was rough. Took it to our local GN expert and it was the yellow wire within the harness that leads to the Ignition module to the driver side that was split. Took apart the harness and it...
Got a call from the local GN expert here in Michigan and I feel dumb. The initial problem I changed with the module turned out to ne a defective new module. I guess I assumed a new part wouldn't be an issue. Thanks to everyone for the suggestion. I learned a ton more about these cars with this...
Attached are the pics of the wire hook up. Also, the diagram I followed to check. I do have a fuel gauge at the rail and when running it shows 40-42. Engine off it was down to 22. Fuel pump is priming. Of course now the car is dead because of so many cranks over the last 10 days and no...
Yes. I have two MAF and it was working before the issue. I have another delco rebuilt one that is new and it didnt like that one. Switched back to the delco that was on car while running and it did better with that one.
At this point lets assume I dont. Are we talking plug wires or the actual wire that go from module to coil pack. I am always a learner and with everything new, it could be something this dumb. Thanks
I got the module from kirban. I will try injector issue as soon as possible. I just drove the car home from my buddies shop and had to feather the throttle home not to stall. I got into boost and blew black smoke if that helps anyone.
Still have a terrible idle. Been following symptoms for a month now and very little success. Started out with a great 2 hour driver to pull in to the driveway to have crank but no start. Noticed the plastic GN emblem on the coil pack had melted and the heat shield clip for the hood just above...
New ECM, New Chip same rough idle. I had a spare cam sensor and installed that. Still rough idle. When I initially had an issue with my module it got so hot that it melted a GN emblem for the coil pack and also got so hot it melted the plastic clip for the heat pad on the hood. Do I need to...
Update. Cam sensor rotated within window and still rough idle. Found an ECM and plugged that in and this one does not even get warm, so there must have been an issue with my old ECM to get that hot. Did that heat short something out? I just ordered a new TT chip just in case it got too hot...
