It sounds like you still have alot of air in the system. The more you drive it the better it will get and the quieter. Mine was somewhat the same way and now it is quieter and the pedal is very firm and takes very little effort to brake.
Yeah that light should come on till the system reaches pressure and turned off by the switch. Disconnect the connector at the switch. Depressurize the system. All terminals on the switch should have continuity between them as I believe the switch is normally closed when no pressure. On the...
You won't have to bleed the brakes which is the drivers side of the reservoir. The pump side or booster side is the passenger side this side will need to be bled by pressurizing and depressurizing the accumulator until there is no bubbles in the passenger side.
Looks like you need a new hydroboost $150 at advance auto. It's not that tough of a job , just unhook pedal rod and 4 nuts. With an air ratchet , swivel union and some extensions it can be done quickly. Use the air ratchet because it doesn't require movement since there is no room for any under...
What you have is a hydroboost which uses the pressure of the power steering to assist in the brakes. There is 2 pressure lines and one return line connected to the hydroboost. The one on the passenger side comes from the pump and the one on the drivers side goes to the steering gear. My guess is...

If you don't have a Scanmaster then that should be your first and only purchase before reading...
