How fast are the TSM and TSO classes running? How many people are racing in the field?

There was qualifying today, and it was very disappointing to me and assume racers were also, as the track prep was pathetic.

None of the faster cars could hook up at the starting line, and even at half track it was slippery.

I did not even bother to watch the second round which was shortrned by rain.

Overall, organization of the event was sadly lacking without any leadership?

In my opinion, this event is doomed unless there is a major effort to have a more professional and organized effort to get this event to a level expected for racers, vndors and spectators.

This event needs to move back to an October date, to hopefully get cooler temps which can equal better track conditions to start.

I hope it moves back to October next year..

I don't have opinion much either way this being only my 2nd time to go to the Nats and just spectating. The track prep does seem to be non existent I have been here since Wed and I expected it to get better today but that hasn't happened. It is running 90 to 92 degrees. Rain today as well around 5pm. A lot of the car show stuff changed some happy some not so happy. Not sure how many cars overall? A few hundred maybe?

Even grouchy old Lou's having a blast. I'm heading down to the bar right now to have a drink with him.

Red Armstrong was here and making some passes. :)
Got to meet him for the first time.

I went 8.96 last night in TSM, but wasnt a qualifying run. Today, i forgot to shut off launch boost amd ran 10.67@125 on 7psi, i made a pass that would have been in the 8s, but it was 1/8 mile for TSO qualifying, and blew off the intercooler pipe on the 2nd qualifying TSM pass. Going to fix it with duct tape and bubble gum tomorrow morning, and get after it.

I was very disappointed in the vendors or lack thereof. What a JOKE. I will agree with Nick this event is dying and needs a huge jump start or it will be dead in 5 years or sooner.

Saturday is/was a complete rainout. And I feel sorry for the folks that left their car there overnight . The event was cancelled and they were still charging full price at the gate just to get in and get your stuff. GSCA or the track I don't know but that is total bullshit!

You got your money back when you left.

You got your money back when you left.

Some folks did. They imposed some bullshit deadline time, closed the door, took their stack of $20, and left.
TOTAL BULLSHIT! EVERYONE that paid, should get their $ back.
I was there from Wed on...As Nick said, it's toast, if there's not a significant infusion of common sense and ambition.
Vendors?? PAYING vendors don't need to compete w/ those selling stuff off the back of their trailers. One reason some don't come back.
Just sayin.............
