2015 Texas Buick Nationals Discussion thread

I stopped by the track yesterday and talked to the owner, Kirk. Seems like a nice guy. They are looking forward to having everyone out. Hope to have my car ready by then, building my shop at this moment.

Here is the flyer for the TX Buick Nats race in May.

Gonna try one more time.:D Since this is in May we're going to loose the chance of any of the BPG guys coming since their big race is in the same month.:( Granted, we might not get any anyway, but this would put them off completely since it would mean that they have to drive to 2 different races in the same month.

The flyer looks good David! The date is after all my major tax deadlines at the office so I will be ready to chill with the Buick family for a while.

Two pics from last year, feel free to share with your V8 friends. I had a blast last year. Hope you get an even better turnout this year. Wished I could share the warm TX climate and hospitality now but I need to fill the heater with waste oil!!!

Everyone either needs to write their name on their cars or get a T shirt with their name on the back this year. I don't know how many people I didn't get to meet because I was busy watching and helping those when I had the chance.

Or some of those stickers that say

Hi! My name is
____________

I will be there as well. Maybe us San Antonio guys can ride up there together?
David, I will be trailering my car up. We can caravan up there together, that goes for anyone in the San Antonio area. I plan on departing about 8 am from the Northeast side.

We could get Texas Buick National T-shirts made with our names on the back. Place the order in advance and pick up at the track?

I like that idea as well Joe, but I think we'd have to pre-order them and pay to get it done.

Joe Snuffy, I will be trailering as well. I will link up with you when the day is closer.

What safety equipment is required to run at this track?

Dont want this thread to die. Im a new mmembe, and traded a drag car for my 87 GN. Ive had for sseveral months, but it sat for a few months while working on another project. Ive just started making progress. I cant wait for this event. Id love to meet other TR owners, and see other cars. My car needs paint badly, but i will be there. James-
