Any feedback on the pistols...looking to get one.

Don't. Cheap piece of crap. Unreliable. What's your budget? 9mm? .40?? Right now the only ammo I can find is .40 and .45. So that may come into play on what to get.

very cheap .. they only like virgin ammo .my 40 jams first shot or third shot every time with cheap ammo . my 45 has yet to jam but i only have used virgin ammo thru it .. but for the money why not? & 170.00 for a 40 - or -45 .

Yeah a guy that i know has a 40 and 9 and no complaints.
Thanx for the inputs..anyone else

if you going to use for practice at the range sould be fine. remember range targets dont shoot back or jam.

Do you want it for a range gun? Home defense? Concealed carry? That all plays into the decision. For under $400 you can get a quality gun. Ruger, Taurus , Kahr .............

My Taurus has over 1000 Rds through with out the slightest hiccup. PT-140 millennium pro. They are $300 new.

Honestly a 380 for the mrs and probably a 45 for me. No range gun...will shoot from time to time but not looking to put box after box through it.

We just picked up a Kahr CW-9 for my wife. Compact frame but recoil is not bad. If you're thinking about a .380 then you might as well get a 9mm. Most .380s have a very stiff recoil spring making it difficult to rack the slide. It's the difference between a blow back operated pistol vs. a locked breech pistol. You will have more power, an easier to operate gun and cheaper ammo. Hope this helps. This is what I got the wife.

Ive sold alot of guns and taken alot from people too. I would recommend springfield xd they make 9mm .40 .45 all different sizes. Lifetime warranty. Great gun reliable under 500.00 in guns you get what you pay for.

Springfield XD, stay away from the Hi-Point unless it is a New Orleans throw down, or maybe a never fired nightstand gun, do you really want to remove a roll pin to clean your pistol ?

The XDm is a nice pistol. A bit top heavy though. I like the S&W M&P series of pistols. Some of them do need some trigger parts from Apex. My M&P is a dream to shoot.

Other than price, was there any other reason you chose the CW-9 over the PW-9? Was looking at them myself...

We looked at the P-9 but the $750 price for a gun that we hadn't been able to shoot was a deterrent. We did get a chance to shoot a CW-9 that a friend has. Wife liked it and it was $399 plus tax locally.

My bad... I meant the PM-9, not the "PW-9" or the P-9. And I was thinking you got the CM-9, not the CW-9...

Again, like I said before, you get what you pay for... Would I rather have a hi point or no gun? A hi point! Better than nothing... They are bottom line guns but go bang most of the time... I know a few farmers that keep them in the cabs of tractors for emergency's... I got a carbine 45 sits behind me most of the time made by hi point... I have put over 500 rounds down range with one just like and it never misfired once....

But you should know Shane, if it's like up here... BATFE makes a point of visiting every FFL regularly, and what do they pull the records for and make note of? Sales of those cheap throw away High Point's. Not sure I'd want to be on the radar moreso than other gun owner's just for brand name. Maybe it's cuz they're actually manufactued in the US too. Under an hour from where I live. We all know how this admin hates anybody building something in this country...

The one gun never mentioned in A Lot of these posts is the Beretta PX4 Storm (Sub compact) This is my personal carry gun and I love this thing! Never once jammed, misfired, and it's dead on at 20 yrds. Wife loves to shoot this gun too and it's fairly priced.
