Nice meeting you Mike I didnt turn the boost up this weekend and looking back i should have because the track was good on my last pass The track was hard for me to get a hold of on the top end and is alot different than what im use to.The car was sliding around through the lights and i didnt want to bring the car home crashed.I meet alot of nice folks and i can say my car has been to BG now and it ran ok and didnt break.I may bring it out to my local track in 2 weeks and turn it up past 30# then.

Thanks and it was nice to meet you guys in person Here is a picture of the 2 cars that beat me out in the car show for best race cars I bet i got more time in just building the frame than they have if they even took the body off LOL Oh well i build my car to race and not compete in a car show and be babied Hehe My car my be even rarer because its a real WE4 i chopped up..

We both know you got done out of the trophy for best race car. Your car is amazing!! It looks sharp, the fit and finish is perfect and it hauls ass too. You've got my vote!! FWIW the '72 Suncoupe is very rare. I tried to check the VIN to see if it was real but the guy had his registration card in front of it. I think they only made 5-6 Stage 1 Suncoupes total. Your car was by far the cleanest best engineered car at BG this year!

Unfortunately with car shows alot of the time it's a popularity contest that has nothing to do with cars.

First id like to say ''MAN WHAT A TRIP!!!'' The cars were good the weather was nice (a change from hot south florida). Nice videos of the car, but the funniest part is on the video of your wife driving back to camp is thats us in the ''fuel efficient'' toyota towing the trailer to get more pallets for the fire. You might of seen our fire from your camp, were the ppl that camp on the stage at the shelter.

You should have come over to say hi and get warm around our GN Wheel Methanol fire. Puts out good heat with no smoke or sparks and the car likes it too..

Good to finally put a face with the name Gene. Hope you guys come back to BG again. Maybe I'll have something together by then.

FWIW - That car show has been a joke for years. I got shafted just like you last time I put one in it. You get ZERO points for engineering and/or creativity which your car would have been 10s on. The judging is screwed up to say the least and I don't doubt that there may be some politics involved as someone said. I know I'm not the only one who will never waste the money to enter that show again. Examples like these are why it continues to shrink year after year...... Your sled should have won best race car hands down!
